A 100,000 sq ft cold storage warehouse responsible for providing 3^rd party logistics for grocery stores. The warehouse specializes in delivering pallets based on an order pick list.

: The warehouse was prone to dead spots and areas of low Wi-fi coverage. This resulted in the pallet pickers having delayed inventory scans or relying on paper manifests to fulfill and stage orders.  On average, the warehouse required 75 minutes to build a pallet of goods and deliver to queued trucks to deliver to their final destination. These delays resulted in over $100,000 in late fees from trucking companies annually.

Our team completed an assessment of the wireless system and identified multiple dead spots and overlapping channels. We added 15 new access points and reconfigured the location of all access points to provide 98% coverage of the building.

Pick times were reduced to 50 minutes per pallet and reduced trucking late fees to less than $20,000, resulting in a payback period for the project of less than one year.
