Office Communications / BYoD
A resort organization with locations throughout the Caribbean and a home office in the US relied on phone calls and texts for communications, resulting in phone bills that ranged from $6,000- $8,000 per month for 16 people.
Problem
The reliance on cell phones and the known high costs of international calls resulted in delayed and short conversations. This resulted in incomplete understanding of the operations by all parties and erratic expenses that cut into the profit of the organization.
Solution
A VPN solution to connect all remote sites to the home office to prevent any blocked traffic by the ISP. Then, a Unified Communications system, Zoom, was implemented. Each person at the resort had Zoom software installed on their computers and their phones.
Result
The organization used Zoom for all inter-office and US based communications including phone calls, meetings, and text. Cell phones were limited to local calls only. The monthly phone bill dropped to less than $2,000 per month.
